Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of the members of the Horsforth Stallions 5-a-side Football Club, held at the Queens Arms, Horsforth, on Wednesday the 21th July 2010 at 09:15pm.

• Gordon Bell, Dave Sidebottom, Simon Redshaw, Steve Nicholson (Treasurer), Mark Hewitt, Geoff Moore, Adrian Burch (Secretary), Simon Redshaw

Minutes of Last meeting:

• It was agreed that the minutes of the last meeting were an accurate record.

Matters Arising:

• Martin Islip, the Club Chairman but has not arrived for the 2nd year in a row. It was decided to continue without a chairman. in fact it was decided that the club does not need a chairman, the motion was carried.
  During the meetin a text message was received from Martin, apologising, and offering his resignation. It was decided to accept the resignation rather then sacking him.

Chairpersons Report.

• As the chairman was not present this section was rather brief...
• 2 new players have been playing regularly recently, Stephen (Brom) and Jodie. It is not clear, as yet, whether they would like to become regular members or just stand-ins for when necessary. Gordon will follow this up (they being friends of Jamie who has left for Norway.

Treasurer's report

• Finances are up as a result of extra players being able to play outside.
  There is a surplus of £300 in the kitty. Discussions were held as to spending this excess, on Christmas party or Golf day, however it was decided to reduce subs from £4 to £3 for the coming season.
• They would not let us book the hall after Easter because of exams. It was decided to book the outside pitch, from 9pm, from Easter.

Election of officers for season 2007 / 2008

• Chairperson - Martin Islip resigned as Chairman, club to be Chairman-less henceforth
• Treasurer - Steve Nicholson to continue for a further season
• Secretary - Adrian Burch to continue for a further season.
• Social Secretary - Dave Sidebottom to continue for a further season.

Player of the season award

• Trophy was awarded to Mark Hewitt with 4 Pods from 16 possibles. (Games played outside with no Pod are not included) However, it was decided that there is no reason why a POD should not be chosed when playing outside, which is becoming a regular event. The "ref" needn't ref but will still be required to choose a Pod.
• Steve Nicholson to arrange a small trophy for both Jay (last year) and Mark.

Location:

• Many alternatives have been explored but none match the needs of the club. It was decided we will remain at Horsforth High School for the forseeable future.

Any other business

• Geoff/Dave are organising a golf day in Newcastle.
• An evening may be arranged at the Golf Cafe Bar near the dark arches.
